Dr. Sidhu’s journey into the realm of medicine commenced at the prestigious Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) degree between 2004 and 2009. Fueled by an unwavering dedication to furthering her expertise, she pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Internal Medicine and later, a Doctorate of Medicine (DM) in Neurology from Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, India.
Dr. Sidhu’s global outlook and commitment to excellence are underscored by her international clinical fellowships. In 2019, she completed a Clinical Fellowship in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders at the renowned National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queensquare, London under the guidance of honourable Prof Kailash Bhatia. She also attended special clinics with Prof Carla Cordovari for EMG guided Botulinum toxin injections for focal dystonias and is one of the few neurologists with training in this field. This experience not only broadened her clinical perspective but also exposed her to cutting-edge advancements in the field.
Further, Dr. Sidhu went for another One-year program –Clinical Fellowship in Parkinsons and Movement Disorders from December 2021 to December 2022. This one year fellowship program was based at the National Neuroscience Institute in Singapore, which included specialized training in Parkinson’s Disease and other Movement Disorders with a focus on Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery for Parkinson’s disease and Dystonias.
Dr Jaslovleen Kaur Sidhu is presently the only neurologist in North India with Dual Fellowship training in Movement Disorders and she is committed towards bringing awareness and providing treatment to the patients in remote areas of North India.
To achieve her dream and pursue her passion for Movement Disorders, Dr Sidhu has started North India’s First and Exclusive Parkinsons & Movement Disorders Clinic at Mohali, Punjab, India. It was started in December 2022 upon her return from her Fellowship Program at Singapore. Since then, she has been dedicated towards providing the most advanced treatment options including Deep brain stimulation surgery in Punjab, contributing to the accessibility of specialized care in the region.
Dr. Jaslovleen Kaur Sidhu’s impact extends beyond academic pursuits. Presently, she serves as the Director of Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders Division and holds the position of Clinical Lead for the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Program at Ivy Hospitals, Mohali, Punjab.
